
I think that this block, #79 Patience, is the easiest block in the whole book!
It’s simply nine squares with the diagonal squares in a contrasting colour. The squares are all the same size, and I cut mine several at a time with a rotary cutter, a rotating cutting mat and a template from Perfect Patchwork template set B.
I chose yellow with light blue for the diagonal squares. I’m not totally convinced with my choice of colours. It’s the only block I’ve made with yellow as the main colour. I think it may blend in if some of the future blocks I make have more yellow in, but we’ll have to wait until the end to see if it still stands out from the others a bit much!
