
This block is the first for my Farmer’s Wife quilt that I have paper pieced. It has no standard sized shapes in it so it seemed to be the best way to make it.
I’m pleased with how this one’s turned out. I think the points are matching up really well, and I like the colours that I chose for it. I think the yellow sections stand out nicely and frame the pinwheel in the centre nicely.
There are quite a few more blocks that can’t be made with templates, so I’ll be making several more by paper piecing as we go on.
