
This block was very similar to make to #49 Katherine, and I made them one after the other.
I also used the same colours – the three blues.
It is made of the same rectangles, each with a triangular corner of a different colour. However, in this block there are only four of these units and the other four are made from two squares joined together. The triangles join together in the centre to make an interesting pattern.
I pieced this the same as in the previous block – using the rectangle from template set C and snowballing the corner with the appropriate triangle from set A.
The squares are also a template from set A, and I checked my seams by measuring up with the rectangle template once they were sewn together. As in the previous block, I made up the four quarters, then put two together to make halves and then joined to make the whole.
