Farmer’s Wife QAL Block 78

I continued through the book looking for all the blocks that I could make with my template Set A and came to this one -#78 Old Maid! This is another block that’s made entirely of triangles using two colours. I’ve gone for my mid and light blue for this one.

I found that making all the blocks that use the same pieces at the same time easier as it means my piecing of those shapes improves throughout those blocks.

I’m not sure that this is one of my favourite blocks to look at. I think it looks better if you look at it square on, but the blocks are designed to be set on a diagonal in the finished quilt.

With all the blocks I’ve made so far I must be about a tenth of the way through now – hooray!
