Farmer’s Wife QAL Block 24

I have been making blocks for the Farmer’s Wife QAL. This is block 24 from the book and is called Coral.

The block makes a star with a square hole inside it. As it’s a star I chose yellow for the star and dark blue for the background.

I used the triangle templates from Perfect Patchwork Template Set A to make the HST sections, using the square template to check my sizing and trim before sewing squares together to make my block more accurate. I used the rectangle from template set C to cut my centre rectangle and also to check my sizing each time I sewed two smaller squares together. I think my points look pretty good in this block, so all that checking after each stage must have worked!

Another one done, but still lots to go!
